SEKYERE C: Four communities benefit from rural electrification project
Four communities in the Sekyere Central District in the Ashanti Region have benefited from a rural electrification project.

The project forms part of the electricity infrastructure expansion in order to support the operation of the social projects, production ventures and other activities in the rural areas.
The District Chief Executive, Kwadwo Banahene said that the beneficiary communities have been poorly served and hopefully with the electrification project, the extension will help alleviate poverty and promote growth on the district as they people will be able to use the electricity to support local industries.
He also indicated that 4 communities currently benefitting from the project to include; Sankasaase, Dome, Barlana and Congo Nkwanta.
The beneficiary communities expressed the gratitude to the DCE and officials for taking the steps to put them on the national grid.
