The Asutifi North District is one of the 254 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) in Ghana, and forms part of the 29 of Municipalities and Districts in the Brong Ahafo Region

It is located between latitudes 6°40’ and 7°15’ North and Longitudes 2°15’ and 2°45’ West. The District capital is 
Kenyasi, which is about 50km from Sunyani, the regional capital of Brong Ahafo, through Atronie and Ntotroso.


It shares boundaries with Sunyani Municipal in the north, Tano South Municipal to the north-east, Dormaa Central Municipal to north-west, Asunafo North Municipal and Asunafo South District in the south-west and Ahafo Ano South and North Districts (Ashanti Region) in the south-east.


With a total land surface area of 1500, the District is one of the smallest in the Brong Ahafo Region.There are a total of 117 settlements in the district and four paramouncies, namely: Kenyasi No.1 Kenyasi No.2, Hwidiem and Acherensua.

The population of the district according to 2010 population and housing census stands at 52,259 with 26,761 males 25,498 females.
