The move is in response to assembly’s plans and directives to eliminate all schools under trees system in the area.
Disclosing this in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, Alhaji Abuu said funds will soon be earmarked for work to begin on a new nine unit classroom block project for the only school in the Afamkwa community in the district.
The pupils, he noted been receiving lessons under trees ever since their only makeshift classroom structure was completely destroyed by a heavy downpour.
He noted that work will soon commence of the said project to serve as their permanent classroom block to help improve teaching and learning.
