ASUTIFI N: DCE, MP cuts sod for more development projects
Various communities in the Asutifi North District are to see developments following a sod cutting ceremony in those communities for the commencement of various development projects.

The District Chief Executive of the Asutifi North District together with the Member of Parliament for the area performed the sod cutting as they tour these areas to help deal with various challenges confronting the people.

Among the projects include:
• construction of CHIPS Compound at Amomaso;
• KG block at Wamahinso DA;
• 6-unit classroom block at Wamahinso Gyamfi Kumaning SHS, office, store, staff room, library and toilet;
• 3-unit classroom block at Ntotroso ST. Lawrence JHS office, store, staff room, library and toilet;
• 6-unit classroom block at Ntotroso Rashadia, office, store, staff room, library and toilet;
• CHIPS compound at Kramokrom;
• 6-unit classroom block at Yawbrefo, with office, store, staff room, library and toilet;
• 16-seater aqua privy toilet facility at Goamu;
• 8-unit teacher’s quarters at Goatifi DA JHS; and
• CHIPS at Kensere.



The rest are:
• Bogyampa with 6-unit classroom at Roman JHS office, store, staff room, library and toilet
• Construction of concrete-pipe culvert at Jericho Kenyasi No. 2,
• 3-unit classroom block at Gambia No. 2 office, store, staff room, library and toilet, and
• 4-unit nurses quarters at Biaso.

According to Anthony Adjei Mensah, the District Chief Executive, the projects were being funded from the MP Common Fund, District Development Fund and Internally Generated Fund.

The DCE urge all the communities to be very vigilant and bring to book anyone who has bad intention of stealing materials for the project. He also told the contractors to use the youth in the communities for the work if it’s not technical.



The Member of Parliament, Joseph Benhazin Dahah also added that the government is a listening one, and will bring more developmental projects to the communities if they take proper care of the existing projects.

The Chiefs of the various communities assured the DCE and MP of taking proper care of the projects, since they are going to benefit from it.

The DCE also urged the citizens to report if they see the contractors using inferior materials for the work. He again said the project will take 6 month to finish.
