Wa municipal Assembly holds second ordinary meeting
The Wa municipal Assembly has held its second ordinary meeting in Wa with a call for all hand on deck to help bring more development to the municipality and help improve the quality and standard of living of the people in the area.

Delivering his sectional address, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the area, Alhaji Tahiru Issahaku Moomin reassured his readiness to serve people by taking critical decisions that will only foster development in the area.

He added that the assembly will also ensure the smooth implementation policies and programmes that will help improve the quality of the lives and also harness both human and material resources for the provision of basic infrastructure and socio- economic services.


Touching on education, the MCE said that the government has a vision and commitment to ensuring that quality, free and accessible education was made available to all.

MCE asked members to be committed and dedicated to duty for the advancement of social economic development of the municipality.


On his part, Presiding Member (PM) of the Assembly, Mr Karim Abdul-ruhman Topie also called on all stakeholders to come out with the best ideas that would accelerate the development of the municipality.

The meeting brought together Assembly Members, political party executive and the Media.
