Assembly presents mono desks to five schools

Mr. Benjamin Kingsley Koduah, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Sekyere Central has presented mono desk to the Education Directorate for onward distribution to some selected schools in the area.

The schools include, Jetiase DA, Aframso DA, Kwamang DA, Birem DA and Asuogya DA schools to facilitate effective teaching and learning in the area.

Presenting the desks, the DCE emphasized the need to support schools with the needed logistics to make teaching and learning comfortable, adding that the gesture is part of efforts to address the furniture deficit of schools in the district.

The DCE said he is committed to improving education in the district to complement President Akufo Addo's pledge of ensuring that every Ghanaian child has equal access to quality education.

He therefore appealed to the head teachers of the beneficiary schools to endeavor to maintain the desks to achieve the intended purpose.

The head teachers of the schools thanked the DCE and the Assembly for the kind gesture and added that the desks would go a long way to solve issues of congestion in classrooms due to insufficient desks and improve concentration on the part of pupils to attain academic excellence.
