Ga South MCE tours residence associations

As part of plans to ensure community participation in governance process, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Ga South Municipal Assembly Mr. Joseph Nyarni Stephen has visited the landlord Associations in the Akwasah Electoral area.

The MCE in his interaction entreated members to help the Assembly in its quest to providing basic social amenities and used the opportunity to explain Government policies to the people and what the Assembly has been doing since its inception in this year.

Mr. Nyarni used the occasion to sensitize the people on the new policy that is yet to be approved by the General Assembly adding that the new policy if approved will empower the Associations to impose levies on its members which will be used to provide basic amenities and levies will also be audited yearly by the Assembly.

The Coordinating Director of the Assembly, Mr. Emmanuel Baisie also advised the Associations to help the Assembly to collect revenue and asked the Association to collaborate with the Assembly in its attempt to name all the streets and also number the houses in the municipality
