“Corruption tag against me and my family would not wash” - President
President Nana Akuffo-Addo has said attempts by his political opponents to tarnish his image and that of his family with corruption would not wash as he is focused with his fight against corruption.

According to the President he came to public service not to make money and his family members are aware of this stand and would not behave or involve themselves in any corrupt activities or untoward.
“I am aware that you give a dog a bad name, in other to hand it, but this dog would not be hang”, he lamented.
He made this remarks at the opening of a two day conference for internal auditors within the public sector, on the theme “leadership and good corporate governance key to effective public financial management.
“I came here to say, that I need your help as internal auditors in the fight against, I am renewing my vow in need you to help protect the public purse. I came to acknowledge that this is not a battle I can win alone”, he said.
Again I acknowledge the role internal audit play to reduce corruption, linkage and waste in public resources.
President Nana Akuffo-Addo called for timely and accurate information which would help improve financial management system.
