ACHIASE: Locally-made incubator to boost poultry production
The Achiase District Assembly has, in collaboration with a private individual, created an incubator for hatching chicks at an affordable price.

Mr. Kofi Amponsah, the District Chief Executive stated that most Ghanaian poultry farmers are not able to afford incubators due to the high cost of such imported items.
According to him, there are no incubator manufacturing firms in Ghana, hence the need to bring out this idea to manufacture it.
He continued that the local incubator had been able to hatch over 100 chicks when piloting.
Mr. Kofi Adu, who manufactured the incubator, stated that the government should support this vision to expand poultry farming in the Achiase District and in Ghana at large.
