DCE inaugurates four projects at BSHST
The Bosome Senior High Technical School in the Bosome Freho District over some years has achieved a lot of infrastructure development under the auspices of Mr. Yaw Danso (DCE) and the NPP government.

In a short but impressive ceremony at the school premises during the commissioning of 260 capacity single storey dormitory block for both male and female students, a mechanized borehole facility which can supply over four thousand people, a modernized bath house and a place of washing bay coupled with dry lines and toilet facility to cater for their dire needs.


Addressing the gathering, the Ashanti Regional, Minister Mr. Simon Osei Mensah commended government for constructing such an edifice, since education has been the hallmark of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.

The Regional Minister said, currently, Ghanaians are experiencing Free SHS education and therefore urged student in particular, to take advantage of it to build a prosperous future.

Mr. Simon Osei Mensah stated that, the New Patriotic Party is the only government whose policies are effectively improving the lives of every Ghanaian.

He further stated that, government cannot put money's in everyone's pocket but initiating policies that will ease the burden of many Ghanaians is another way of putting money in our pockets.

The Minister appealed to nananom, school authorities and students to ensure the facilities are maintained for it to last longer and pledged to support the school with Ten Thousand Ghana Cedis (10000.00) for greening their environment.

The District Chief Executive of the area Mr. Yaw Danso said Bosome Senior High Technical School is the only second cycle institution in the district so failure to adhere to their plight might jeopardize the lives of many students and therefore appealed to the necessary quarters in government to support the school.


The DCE said, their government met only three hundred students but with good policies of the President, the school is currently housing more than One Thousand Two hundred students.
It is our intention to develop this school and leave a legacy that will forever be in the minds of the people of Bosome Freho.

He seized the opportunity to urged nananom to support him and the NPP governments to bring development to the citizens of Bosome Freho.

He advised the student’s body not to relent on their efforts but pushed further for a future which will be envious for others.

The District Director of Education Mr. Seth Boateng said, with the introduction of FSHS programme many JHS graduates who otherwise could not access secondary education are now enjoying it which has increased the learner populations of senior high schools, of which Bosome Senior High is no exception.


He commended government and leadership of Bosome Freho District Assembly for the huge investment they have made and continue to make in the area of Education.

He stated that, the blocks have come to further improve access and quality and that is the responsibility of all of us to protect them so that they can well serve the present generation and prosperity.

The headmaster of Bosome Senior High Technical School Mr. Joseph Appiah said, the school was established in the year 2006 with about six students, currently has a total students population (F1-F3) of One Thousand Two Hundred and Fifty-Six (1256). Out of the number, Nine Hundred and Fifty- Four are boarders and Three (3) Hundred and Two are day students.

He said the school has total staff strength of One Hundred and Thirty-one (131).

Mr. Appiah said the school has over the years performed creditably in SSSCE/ WASSCE.

He therefore appealed to government through the Office of the Regional Minister to help address their desire needs.


The representative of Omanhene of Kokofu Traditional Area, Barimah Offe Akwasi Okogyeasuo II, Nana Kofi Agyare Nyarko II, Chief of Anyanso appealed to government to continually appoints leader's that always have the district at heart for them to witness such massive infrastructure development all the time.

He said nananom will do their best to create way for government projects to take over in their traditional area for their subjects to benefits. He urged students to change their attitude and improve upon their studies for a bettfuture.

Nana Kofi Agyare Nyarko II said we are grateful to the DCE and government for the projects being commissioned and pray that God grant this government the strength to do more for Bosome Senior High Technical School.
