EJURA: MCE, Minister assured farmers of government’s support

The Municipal Chief Executive of Ejura-Sekyedumase, Alhaji Mohammed Salisu Bamba accompanied by the Minister for Food and Agriculture, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto and the Ashanti Regional Agriculture Director, Mr. John Manu has inspected a Solar-Powered Corn Mill, a pilot project under the One District One Factory flagship Program in Sekyedumase.

Some farmers in the township expressed their heartfelt thanks to the MCE for the initiative. They also commended the government for the Planting for Food and Jobs program and highlighted some challenges affecting their productivity.

Alhaji Bamba in his response stated that any farmer who needs the Assembly’s assistance with regards to the services of tractor and

planter should call on his outfit and his wish would be granted.

The Team also met with a group of Tractor Operators and Agro-Chemicals Dealers at the Ejura Agric College and unveiled the various government Support-Schemes.

The minister assured the group of sustained price-control mechanisms on the sale of fertilizers under the PFJ program and government's massive support.
