Assembly Educates the General Public on the need to pay fees

The Budget Unit of the Shai-Osudoku District Assembly (SODA) has held a Stakeholders meeting to educate the general public on public financial management (PFM).

Mr. Frank Assimeng the District Budget Analyst in his delivery said the main objective of the program is to use the platform to disseminate government policies, programs and activities to strengthen education and to sensitize the public on revenue mobilization for development purposes and also educate the stakeholders on the need to pay their fees.

The Presiding Member for the Assembly Mr. Noah Sabutey explained that the taxes mobilized by the assembly from the community enables the assembly to bring developmental projects to the community and helps other future projections suit the development plan for the district.

He therefore took participants through how to acquire Business Operating Permit from the assembly and some projects the Assembly has undertaken so far.
