The beneficiaries, comprised 28 females and two males, and were given 10 ovens, 13 sewing machines, five hair-dryers, cunning equipment and an auto-electrical machine.

At a brief ceremony to present the items, Mr Stephen Yakubu, the Upper East Regional Minister admonished the beneficiaries to put the equipment to judicious use for their own benefit, and that of their families.
He said they may not find it rosy in the business environment, and encouraged them not to give up but brace themselves up and face any challenge, and forge ahead for success.

The Regional Director of the GEA, Mr. Bukari Mohammed also entreated the beneficiaries to take proper care of the equipment so that they could last long to serve their intended purpose.
“Consider this as a unique opportunity just as God has blessed you with great privilege and use the machines for the intended purpose,” he told the newly trained entrepreneurs.

Miss Pricilla Yuzor, a beneficiary, thanked the GEA on behalf of her colleagues for the support given to them after the training, and gave the assurance that they would put the equipment to good use.
