Alhaji Sa-Rhack Nartey, Ningo-Prampram District Chief Executive, inaugurating the taskforce, charged members to map up strategies for a peaceful atmosphere towards the conduct of the elections.

Alhaji Nartey said even though the District was generally safe, activities of political parties especially accusations and counter accusations from the two main parties could disturb the peace in the area.

He therefore called on the taskforce especially the Police to deal firmly, fairly and equally with political activists who offend the law with their activities.

He noted that dealing professionally with suspects irrespective of their party affiliations, would ensure that sanity prevailed in the system and misunderstandings resolved properly instead of resorting to violence.

The DCE encouraged members to be committed to the noble cause before them to ensure a successful violence free elections in the District.
