Bolgatanga to host Leadership of Parliament to health walk

The Upper East Regional capital, Bolgatanga, is expected to host leadership of Parliament to a health walk and fun games on June 17, 2023 as part of activities to mark the 30th Anniversary celebration of Ghana's Fourth Republic.

The walk, scheduled to take place on June 17, 2023, would offer the Chiefs and people of the region the opportunity to interact with the Speaker and leadership of the House on critical issues of development in the Region.

The theme for the year-long celebration is “30 years under the fourth republic, the journey thus far.” Apart from the walk, there are planned activities including public fora, fun games, among others scheduled to take place at different locations across the country.

A team of officers from the Parliamentary Service paid a working visit to Management of the Upper East Regional Coordinating Council (UERCC) to plan the upcoming activity.

The officers and Management of the RCC called on residents in the region to actively participate in the walk and interact with the lawmakers as a way to deepen the democratic processes in the country.
