Assembly Member donates dustbins to schools

Broadcast Journalist and Assembly Member for Asaam Electoral Area in the Asante Mampong Municipality, Mr. Addai Brobbey, has presented dustbins to basic schools in his Electoral Area to improve sanitation in various schools.

The gesture forms part of his birthday celebration and his efforts to give back to the community.

The beneficiary schools were Asaam M/A JHS, Asaam M/A Primary School, Asaam Methodist JHS, Asaam Methodist Primary School, Nwaadan M/A JHS and Primary, Naama M/A JHS and Primary School.

Speaking in an interview, Mr. Brobbey said sanitation is very crucial in an effective teaching and learning environment and he is confident that the gesture will help eradicate students littering on the school compound.

He therefore urged the students to learn hard for both their own interests and the well being of the country.

The Asaam M/A JHS head teacher Mr. Yeboah Blankson who couldn't hide his joy expressed his gratitude to the Assemblyman for such gesture.

He added that it is timely intervention to facilitate not only effective teaching and learning but it will also improve sanitation on the various schools campuses.
