Two SHS in Achiase District shows preparedness to welcome students
In the wake of easing restrictions due to the outbreak of COVID-19 by the Government for the resumption of senior high schools two senior high schools in the Achiase District in the Eastern Region have shown their preparedness with adequate measures in place for their students.

In view of these, the District Chief Executive of Achiase, Mr Richmond Amponsah toured Achiase Senior High and Aperade Senior High to have first-hand information of their readiness.

During the visit, the DCE noticed that classes and lessons had begun on the first day of reopening at Aperade Senior High which is a Day School. Students were within the required number per class and were all in their face masks.

In Achiase SHS which is a boarding school had created a C'19 Isolation Center, the schools had prepared their classrooms for only the required 25 students per class, and rooms at the dormitories would not be any exceptions.



Both schools had Veronica buckets placed at vantage points and an Infrared Thermometer to check the temperature of everyone who enters the school.

Headmasters from both schools said they were prepared and ready to welcome the students back for smooth academic work to continue.

The DCE encouraged the students to study hard to pass their WASSCE and also adhere to all the safety protocols.
