MCE welcomes new pupils to school

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Oforikrom Mr. Abraham Antwi has welcomed Kindergarten and primary one pupils to school as part of activities by the Assembly to observe “My First Day at School”, an annual initiative adopted by government.

The MCE, With his entourage visited 4 selected schools including; Oforikrom M/A school, Bomso M/A school, Emina M/A and Aprade M/A school within the municipality and also presented items such as pencils, exercise books, and assorted drinks to the pupils.

According to Mr. Antwi, parents have no excuse not enroll their children in school, considering the fact that the government had made education free for all Ghanaian children.

He then thanked teachers and circuit supervisors in the municipality for making this year‘s “My First Day at School” successful.

The MCE was accompanied by the Municipal Director of Education Mrs. Dorothy Opare Baidoo, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Charles Atta Mensah, the Presiding Member, Mr. Frank Frimpong and some Assembly members in the Municipality.
