DCE applauds GPRTU and community
The District Chief Executive of Suaman assembly has applauded the branch of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) for adhering to the president's directives to ensure social distancing in their vehicles.

He indicated that although the number of passengers has been reduced, fares remain the same.

The DCE outlined some measures that have been put in place for the locality of which he mentioned distribution of veronica buckets, liquid soaps, sanitizer among others.

He further indicated that health professionals have been mounted at checkpoints to check of temperatures of people who either entered or leaves the district.

"Suaman is a district that shares boundaries with Cote d' Ivoire, and so the Public Health and Emergency Committee together with both immigration Service and police commander are on vigilant monitoring he added."

He further recommended the market women for adhering to social distancing and the ban on social gathering.

The DCE encouraged the people to continue the use of the wearing of a nose mask, washing of hands, and frequent use of alcohol-based sanitizer so as to stop the spread of the COVID -19.
