NABCO CEO visits Mampong, interacts with personnel

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nation Builders Corps (NABCO), Dr. Ibrahim Anyars has paid a working visit to the Asante Mampong Municipality as part of his 5-day tour of the Ashanti region.

The visit was to afford the CEO an opportunity to interact with NABCO personnel in the municipality and also to encourage them to work hard to ensure the development of the municipality and the country as a whole.

The Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) programme is a government initiative which seeks to address graduate unemployment to solve social problems.

Addressing some NABCO personnel in the area, Dr. Anyars, expressed his delight to see the programme flourishing although there are some challenges yet to be addressed.

He was however, quick to add that efforts were currently being put in place to deal with the situation at hand.

He also gave brief history about how the scheme came into existence and the procedure each trainee went through during the registration process.

The CEO also touched on the motive of NABCO, what every trainee must do to ensure high productivity, issues on allocation of allowances, the exit plan of NABCO after 3 years and the government plan on NABCO and time to explain all this by giving an in-depth lecture on these issues.

Personnel were afforded the opportunity to ask questions on matters bothering them and other issues arising in the system.

He was accompanied by some NABCO Executives from Kumasi Metropolitan including Dennis Kwakwa, Ashanti Regional NABCO Coordinator and Mr. Wilfred Owusu Gyasi, Regional Monitor among others.
