Kintampo North holds Mid-Year Performance Re-view
The Kintampo Municipal Health Directorate has held its Mid-year Performance Re-view meeting with a call on stakeholder to value and appreciate the growth and development in the health sector of the country.

The meeting, which was held at the College of Health Conference Hall, was aimed at examining the output of health workers within the year and also to re-examine their progress and performance in the middle year.

Dr. Collins Boateng Danquah, the Acting Municipal Director of Health Service outlined Covid-19 performance in the Municipality.
He revealed that out of the 1,492 sample taken since 2020, the municipality has recorded 318 positive cases, 1 death and 280 recoveries.

Dr. Danquah further revealed that active cases pending discharge/de-isolation also stood at 37 with 35 receiving home management and while 2 people are in the Isolation center.


He lamented about the delay of payment of Health insurance claims which was hampering quality healthcare in the area.

“Despite the efforts we are making, we are equally challenged” in delay of payment of Health insurance claims. But not with standing, the way forward is to collaborate more effectively with health partners and stakeholders, to motivate our workers and use a criteria to select and compensate best workers by the end of 2021, to lobby institution to support our health care delivery efforts, to lobby for two additional physician assistants before the end of 2021 and to create two more Health Centers at Kintampo and Kadelso”, he said.

Dr. Boateng Danquah emphasize that “Health care delivery is a shared responsibility that requires everybody’s support.”


He therefore called for all hands to be on deck so that “together we can all improve upon the system.”

Madam Helline, Deputy Director in charge of Clinical Care for Bono East Region cautioned Ghanaians to still adhere to the Covid-19 protocols, adding that “the pandemic is still with us.”

She noted that the Bono East Region has recorded at least 42 deaths from the pandemic since it was first recoded in Ghana.


She again used the platform to address Health staff to work with quality, dedication, and to improve on their patient- nurse’ relationship in their various healthcare centers to help save more lives.

Mr. Joseph Nanga, Health Information Officer presented the four (4) Objectives of the Kintampo Health Directorate to the gathering.
