Bosome Freho DCE suspended
The District Chief Executive of Bosome Freho, Yaw Danso has been suspended over his alleged involvement in illegal mining (Galamsey).

A letter from the Minister of Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development, Daniel Botwe dated 14th October, 2022 said the suspension takes immediate effect.
According to the sector Minister, the suspension would allow the appropriate agencies to enquire and verify the authenticity of the recently leaked audio recording on social media, purported to be the DCE's voice encouraging illegal mining activities in the Bosome District.
In the said audio, the DCE is heard advising and directing someone on how to involve foreigners including Chinese to engage in the illegal Mining business.
