Alexander Akwasi Acquah targets Premier League for Kotoku Royal
The Member of Parliament for Akim Oda Constituency Alexander Akwasi Acquah has revealed supporting Kotoku Royals to Ghana’s premier League is his target.

According to him, his love for sports and desire to push the local club in Oda is exceptional adding “It’s a promise made during the campaign to help Kotoku Royals and for that matter, I still stand by my words.

Speaking on Agoo FM’s Sports Program Monday 11th January 2021, the newly elected MP said” working towards the premiere league is our main focus so we have talked to the boys and the Chairman, as their leader in the constituency I promise to support them anytime…so definitely Kotoku Royals will be featured in the premier league and that’s my wish”.

Alexander Akwasi Acquah yesterday paid a visit to the Akyem based Oda club Kotoku Royals in their National Division One League opening game against Amidaus Professional FC at the team’s camp base.

He however pledged GH¢ 2,500 bonus package for the club

The playing body will benefits GH¢1,000 as home bonus and GH¢1,500 as away bonus each and indicated that this should motivate the team to work hard for a Premier League slot.

Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah was in the company of some top officials of Government and SWAG General Secretary.

He encouraged the players to make Eastern Region and Akyem Oda proud by ending almost two decades in wait of a Premier League team in the region.

Speaking to Dennis Owoahene Acheampong on Agoo FM’s Global Sports, he said despite government efforts to support sports in the country this is what he is doing, in addition, to lift up the club at Akyem Oda.
