Assembly blocks road, use it as a market

The Abuakwa North Municipal Assembly on Wednesday blocked the road from Ghana Commercial Bank office at Akyem New Tafo to the Funeral grounds to serve as a market.

Abuakwa North Municipality has not recorded any confirmed case of Coronavirus but its neighboring district, Fanteakwa North has recorded a case.

The Eastern Region, in general, has recorded 51 confirmed cases of the Coronavirus out of national tally of 1042 as of April 19, 2020.

As of April 22, the national figure has increased to 1154 but it has not been made known if case count in the region has increased.

Drivers are therefore urged to use either the police station street, Apostolic Church Street, or the street opposite Nana Kyei Brobbey’s House when going to ECG or Post Office during market days.
