The roofs of about 50 dwellings, including Kobre DA Junior High School, were ripped off by the severe downpour.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Pru East District, Alhaji Abdulai Adams accompanied by the Assembly member of the area, Mr Issah Kofi Enoch, the NADMO officer, Mr. Ntana F. Ndila and other key management staff of the Pru East District Assembly visited the affected area and sympathized with the people.

The Assembly member, Mr Issah Kofi Enoch appealed to the DCE, the District Officer of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) and philanthropists to support the victims.

The Assembly member was optimistic that swift action would be taken to curb the situation since the DCE and his key management Staff from the Assembly visited the area.

He assured the people of the area that the Pru East District Assembly was going to support them with some relief items and therefore charged the NADMO officer to as a matter of urgency compile the list of the affected people for a swift intervention.

The District NADMO Officer said his outfit will sooner than later put together the estimated cost of damage and submit them for necessary action.

The NADMO officer on behalf of the DCE pleaded with the residence to assist the affected persons whilst the Assembly prepared to support the affected person with the relief item as promised.
