Taabuo Police Station commissioned

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah has commissioned a police station at Taabuo in the Afigya Kwabre South District to address the security challenges in the area.

The minister in his address at the colorful ceremony entreated the community members to cooperate with the police and live in harmony, adding that the provision of the facility would not mark the end of security challenges in the area, but all stakeholders must involve in playing their respective roles to ensure maximum security.

The District Chief Executive of the area, Christian Adu Poku indicated that the construction of the police station was funded by the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF) and called on the personnel of the Police Service to ensure maintenance culture to prolong the lifespan of the building.

The Ashanti Regional Police Commander, COP Mensah Duku commended the Assembly for their contribution towards the project and assured the public that the Ghana Police service is taking steps to ensure peace during the December 7 polls.

He then called for the collaboration of relevant stakeholders in ensuring security in the country.
