Distribution Of Nose Masks And School Uniforms

Due to the new wave of COVID-19 and its numerous implications to human health and economy in general, the Municipal Chief Executive in support of the Assemblymen, Coordinating Director and staff of Ayawaso East Municipal Assembly on February, 25 2021 distributed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to market women in the Municipality as part of measures to fight against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

The items which included 5,000 pieces of locally made face masks and 3,000 pieces of alcohol-base hand sanitizers were distributed to the traders at the Nima market.

The battle against the coronavirus, she said persisted and was necessary for all to support government and health personnel’s efforts to tackle the disease. She said the protocols, including regular hand washing with soap under running water, using alcohol-based hand sanitizers, social distancing and avoiding hand-shakes and crowded places were the surest ways to control the spread of the virus.
