DCE cuts sod for work to commence on 2-unit classroom block

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Asuogyaman District Assembly, Samuel Kwame Agyekum joined officials from the VRA Resettlement Trust Fund, a major development partner of the District Assembly at a sod cutting ceremony of a two unit-classroom block with ancillary facility at Adjena.

Mr Agyekum in his remarks expressed his delight about the project , adding that ,the Pre-School education is critical to the development of education, hence the Akufo Addo's government taking steps in making it free for all children within that age bracket.

He further reiterated the Asuogyaman District Assembly's unflinching support for the realization of the project.

The hardworking DCE promised the development partners of collaborating effectively with the Town Development Council to make the project a success.

The Technical Director of VRA Resettlement Trust Fund, Mr Anthony Agblevor mentioned that the project will have a compliment of a well furnished Head teacher’s office, a dining hall facility, a play ground, and a toilet facility amounting to two hundred and fifty thousand Ghana CEDI's (GHS 250, 00).

Mr Agblevor also added that, the project which is partly funded by Ghana Gas, Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation (BOST) and The Chamber of Oil Marketers Association will be completed with a period of three(3) months.

The Board chairman of VRA Resettlement Trust Fund urged the TDC not to relent on their responsibility when given a task to perform but rather take an active role in order to avert any plans of redrawing the Trust Fund's support to the community.

The TDC expressed their maximum support for the project adding that,they will organise all stakeholders to do their bid in the realization of the indispensable project.

Dignitaries present at the august occasion were Hon Samuel Kwame Agyekum District Chief Executive, Asuogyaman District Assembly ,Mr Richard Twum Barimah Koranteng , Executive Director VRA Resettlement Trust Fund,His Worship Emmanuel Nana Antwi Barimah (rtd) Board Chair ,VRA Resettlement Trust Fund ,Mr Anthony Agblevor, Technical Director VRA Resettlement Trust Fund ,Mr Richard Bamfo Assemblyman Adjena West ,The District Education Directorate and some Members of the TDC.
