Berekum West DCE pays courtesy call on Traditional Authorities
The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Berekum West, Mr. Dominic Oppong, has paid a courtesy call on the Chiefs and Elders of Adom, Tewbaabi, Koraso and Nkantanka communities to officially introduce himself and also seek their blessings.

The visit forms part of the District Chief Executive’s visit to the various Traditional Authorities and Elders as he commences his familiarization tour in the district.

Addressing the chiefs and elders at separate durbars, the DCE said his vision is not different from that of the President and gave an assurance that he will collaborate with the Chiefs in all spheres to bring socio-economic development to the people of the district.


Mr. Oppong used the occasion to educate the populace on the need to pay taxes and called on the traditional authorities to support the assembly to improve revenue mobilization. “I implore you Nananom to encourage your people to pay their taxes for development” he said.

At the separate meetings, the various chiefs took turns to advise the DCE and urged him to stay focus in the discharge of his duties and pledged their unflinching support for the development of the district.
