Jasikan: 20,000 seedlings planted under Green Ghana project

The District Chief Executive of Jasikan, Lawrence Kwami Aziale has led residents of the area to plant over 20,000 seedlings across the district to mark the Green Ghana Campaign.

The Assembly in collaboration with the Forestry commission also used the opportunity to honored the late Asafoatse Obeng Akyea at his resident with a brief ceremony to officially launch the tree planting exercise.

Also in attendance to make the campaign Jasikan Forestry commission led by the District Manager, Regional Director of Education, Oti, District Director of Education Jasikan, Chiefs and people of Jasikan, District Police Commander, family of the late Asafoatse Richard Kwesi Obeng Akyea, Presiding Member for the Jaikan District Assembly, Some Assembly members, the clergy, students from Bueman Senior High School, some members of the Jasikan community and the Media.
