Wassa Amenfi West Mce tours BECE centres

The Municipal Chief Executive of Wassa Amenfi West, George Agyiri, today, September 14, 2020, toured examination centres in the municipality.

Some of the centres visited during the first-morning paper session are Asankrangwa Senior High School, Asankrangwa Senior High Technical School, and Breman Catholic JHS respectively.

A total of 2,160 candidates from 76 schools are writing the on-going Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the Amenfi West Municipality.

The candidates are made up of 1,150 boys and 1,010 girls from both public and private schools.

Mr. George Agyiri, supervised the distribution of 2,184 mathematical sets to all candidates at the respective examination centres, which were donated to the Educational Directorate by the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Amenfi West, Hon. Abraham Kofi Asante.

He extended warm felicitations and best wishes from H. E Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo to all candidates taking part in the exams.

He urged all candidates to comply with the laid down rules and regulations guiding the writing of the examinations to avoid cancellation of papers and other unforeseen circumstances, adding that the candidates should pass their exams to enjoy the Free SHS policy.

George Agyiri, was accompanied by the Municipal Director of Education, Madam Solace Osei Appiah, Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr.Saaka Ibrahim, District Police Commander, Superintendent Anane Amoah, and the Municipal BNI Director.
