NJSMA visits ongoing Koforidua Jackson Park Project
The management of the New Juaben South Municipal Assembly has paid a working visit to monitor the ongoing reconstruction work of the Koforidua Jackson Park in the Eastern Region.

The visit was to ascertain the progress of work and make all necessary actions towards its completion.

The project was awarded to ‘SOMAN CONSULT LTD” under the Ghana Secondary Cities Support Programme (GSCSP) which was funded by the World Bank through the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development.

After thorough inspection by the Assembly’s technical team members, they advanced and suggested some pertinent areas that needed immediate attention to the Contractors in charge. There are four construction firms in charge of the four Lots on the project including Jaborah Ltd is in charge of Lot 1, Procal Links Ltd Lot 2, Prefos Lot 3 and Lot 4.


The completion stage for the project was assured to be two (2) years, of which phase one of the project was expected to complete within 10 months and Phase two thereafter.

Procal Links Ltd raised some challenges that had delayed the progress of their project as, unfavorable weather condition that is heavy rainfalls and inadequate materials to speed up work.

After holding a meeting with the contractors, Management led by the Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Isaac Appaw-Gyasi then assured them to assist by providing their required materials needed to speed up the work in order to meet the project scheduled completion.
