In the Sekyere Central District, some governmental organizations namely, National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) and the National Service Scheme (NSS) have started a worthy course that needs to be embraced by the citizenry to curb the menace of filth in the environment.

They took to the streets of the heart of the district - Nsuta and cleared all choked gutters to improve the drainage system.

Speaking to the NADMO Director of the area, Mrs Victoria Ansah stated that, they foresee a massive rainfall in early part of the year therefore there is a need for them to be proactive so that havocs usually visited on the people through flooding could be curtailed.

According to her, it had gotten to a point that all hands must be on deck in the district to fight the canker.

"Despite our crusade on dirt eradication, we are also not leaving any stone unturned on anti-bush fire campaign", she lamented.
