''My First Day at School'' Observed in Tamale

The Mayor of Tamale, Mr Sule Salifu today toured a number of schools in the capital, Tamale on the occasion of 'my first day at school', a day set aside Nationwide to as it were, initiate the transition of children of school-going age from their home environment in to the school environment.

The Mayor used the occasion to psych the kids up and also urged parents and teachers alike to show commitment to the children's education.

Mayor noted that education is indeed the key to success and therefore no amount of investment is too much for your child's education

Teachers of the beneficiary schools showed their gratitude for the visit and promised to give out their best in the delivery of positive learning outcomes. Mayor Sule later shared with the kids some snacks as part of activities to mark the day.

He was in the company of the MCD, Mr Gilbert B Nuuri-Teg, Ghana Education Service ( GES) Director for the Tamale Metropolitan area among other officials of the Assembly.
