Begoro residents hail DCE over massive projects
The Residents in the Fanteakwa North District of the Eastern Region have showered praises on their DCE, Charles Oware Tweneboah for the massive projects being undertaken in the area.

They also appealed to President, Nana Akufo-Addo, to consider the good works done by their DCE and retain him in his second term.
Scores of the residents who spoke to this portal noted that changing Charles Oware will cause a delay in the progress of the area considering the services he has rendered to the District.

The residents, mostly, sub-chiefs, market women, and the youth disclosed that their DCE has performed extremely well in his first term and believe he will do even much better for the area if he is maintained.

The DCE since his appointment has done a lot with regards to the road network, hospitals, water, electricity, education, etc. Many of his projects are completed whereas others are ongoing.

Hon Charles Oware has extended the Rural Electrification Project to the various communities within the District through the Ministry of Energy and revealed most of them have been commissioned.

Under his leadership, the District is benefiting from the government flagship program of ‘Planting for Food and Jobs’, also benefited from the Rearing for Food and Jobs program through pig farming with the special poultry programs.

The Assembly has also constructed boreholes in the various locations, 6 school blocks, 13 chips compounds, and Police Post across the District, and there is an ongoing tarring of 17 kilometers of town roads in the area.

Oware Tweneboah expressed gratitude to President Akufo-Addo for the opportunity given to him to serve as the District Chief Executive for the area.

According to him, under his leadership, all the over 140 communities within the District jurisdiction have experienced and benefitted from the unprecedented developmental achievements chalked by the New Patriotic Party’s government in the last four years.

He added that “they have benefited from good roads on which you traveled to Begoro from Osiem, the numerous schools, water projects, community centers, descent market structures, the efforts to mitigate the Fulani menace, and many others you have witnessed in other villages.”

He said, the chiefs saw his good performance reasons why they submitted a Petition to the Presidency appealing for his second term, which he later got to know of.

Touching on issues of COVID-19, he said his outfit together with the Traditional Council and stakeholders have done very well in educating the public on the virus and also implemented stiffer punitive measures.

He added that they have also put proper measures in place by creating police posts to ensure the security system is working in the District.
He, therefore, urged the residents to rally behind him to develop the District.
