In her short address to the chiefs and people of Wenchi she thanked nananom for their unwavering support throughout the years to the judicial system in Ghana.

She openly remarked that she was highly impressed about the facility. She commended the Municipal Assembly for putting up such edifice to house the judiciary.

Her Ladyship Justice Sophia Akuffo noted that facilities such as the type that had been put up was a good place to work.

She disclosed that she would ensure that a Circuit Court is provided for the municipality to add-up to the already existing two courts that is the High Court and Magistrate Court.

The Magistrate court was built by the Assembly with funds drawn from the Urban Development Grant.

However, she had earlier expressed her unhappiness at the way she saw the High Court. She mentioned that the High Court needed to be renovated to put it in a befitting state.

She therefore charged the Director of Works at the Judicial Service Secretariat to take it up and ensure that the place is renovated as soon as possible since that was directly under their ambiance.

The Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Dr. Prince Kwakye Afriyie thanked her ladyship the Chief Justice Madam Sophia Akuffo for her timely visit to the Municipality.

He said his administration was in discussions with the traditional council to get them some acres of land spacious enough so that all the courts could be built at one area and the place becomes an enclave for the judiciary.
