Legal aid scheme office commissioned at Kwbre East
The Kwabre East Municipal Assembly has commissioned a Legal Aid Scheme office to provide legal assistance to the poor and indigent as well as other persons in the prosecution and defense of their rights under the Constitution of Ghana.

The Ghana Legal Aid Scheme is a public service organization within the Justice delivery system of Ghana which provides legal assistance for all who seek to defend or enforce the constitution in accordance with Article 294 of the Constitution.

The Legal Aid Scheme is Ghana's effort at ensuring that constitutional democracy, rule of law, and access to justice extend to the poor and vulnerable.



The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Kwabre East Nana Osei Assibey Bonsu at the commissioning ceremony indicated that the inauguration of the office demonstrate the commitment of the Commission to make its services accessible to all and he is hopeful that lack of money for legal representation would no more be a hindrance in seeking justice.



The MCE also took the opportunity to commission a Birth and Death registry and Administration for stool lands offices
