Sene East Assembly organizes clean-up exercise
The Sene East District Assembly has organized a clean-up exercise in collaboration with participants from the Environmental Health Department, Ghana Police Service, Ghana education service, Ghana Immigration Service, Zoomlion Ghana Ltd in the District capital Kajeji.

The exercise took place at the community center, market area, health center, chief palace and other main roads and inner township that needed cleaning.

The exercise was aimed at ensuring that major public areas within the Kajaji Township are clean and hygienic. The exercise included cleaning and picking of polythene bags, weeding, sweeping, gathering and disposing of refuse, etc. 


Speaking with students and other volunteers in front of the chief palace, G.J Kofi Gyimah (DCE) said cleanliness is next to Godliness and advocated much on the need to keep their surroundings clean and tidy, He further admonished them not to throw rubbish indiscriminately to prevent diseases.

Nana Osore Kurunku Sunkwa, the acting President of Nkomi Traditional Council expressed his profound thanks to the DCE and all volunteers who availed themselves for the exercise.

Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim Nasir, District director of education thanked all heads of schools for such a wonderful job. He also pleaded with citizens to make behavioral changes to keep their environment clean and prevent any form of communicable diseases.
