The donation comes in the wake of appeals made by the District Planning Committee to corporate institutions to partner the assembly to make the celebration a success. The celebration is on the theme “Farming for Food and Jobs” and will be observed at Ntotroso.

Making the presentation, Mr. Richard Menz, Head of Finance and Administration of the Bank, said his outfits response to the assembly’s request demonstrates their commitment to the development of the area through agriculture which is the backbone of the country’s economy.

He said as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility to the community in which they operate, it was the company’s desire to help create job opportunities for the youth by providing the necessary financial service to farmers and groups to earn a meaningful living and therefore encouraged residents to make good use of the numerous financial services of the bank.

Mr. Menz appealed to residents to coexist in peace and collaboration with institutions and the assembly to initiate programmes that will bring sustainable development to the area and pledged his outfit’s readiness to contribute their part in the areas development.

The District Chief Executive (DCE), Anthony Mensah in receiving the items on behalf of the assembly, commended the bank for the donation and lamented the low level of response from the corporate bodies in the district.

He noted the assembly was open to constrictive criticisms to help shape and sustain interventions that will be implemented to better the living standard of its people.

Mr. Mensah commended members of the committee for their dedication and commitment to duty and appealed to them to woo in more institutions for the areas development.

The District Coordinating Director (DCD) and Chairman of the District Farmers’ Day Planning Committee, George Padmore, who expressed the assembly’s gratitude to the bank, also commended them for being the first institution to respond to the assembly’s request and called on other corporate institutions operating the area to emulate the good example demonstrated by the bank.

“I wish to put on record that the Asutifi Rural Bank is the first institution to respond to our request and so this show of concern and collaboration will not go unnoticed by the assembly”, he emphasized.

He noted such good relationship among institutions build synergy and cohesion that facilitate sustainable development and appeal to all stakeholders to get on board.
