He noted that the lives of teachers and pupils are in danger having to cope with teaching and learning under a dilapidated classroom block.

According to him, the walls of the school building have cracked as well as the base of the school block foundation is weak due to erosion.

The entire structure has now become a death trap, hence may lead to disaster when the rains set in.

Speaking in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, Mr. Addai noted that the over 50-years school structure was put up by the community, and has not seen any renovations since.

He said efforts by the community to get the Assembly for support to renovate the building has not yielded any results.

ā€œIā€™m appealing to the government and other bodies to come to our aid. We have merge the classes now, even those rooms we are using now are not strong enough and we have decided to pull down the entire building so that the children will study under trees to save lives.ā€™' he said.
