KMA organises cleanup exercise
The Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) of Kumasi, Mr. Samuel Pyne, has organized a cleanup exercise in the central business centre of Kumasi to help keep the environment clean.

The move was also aimed at advocating for cleanliness among residents in order to maintain a clean and healthy environment.

The exercise was carried out in areas like Adum, Children's Hospital, PZ, Melcom, Otumfour Roundabout, Dr. Mensah, K.O. areas, Zoo Gate, MTN through Adehye Market.



The rest include Pampaso, Alaba, Hello, Boss FM areas, Roman Hill, Amakom Market, Race Course, Santasi Station and Bantama market.


Addressing the media, the Mayor noted that his major concern is to help improve the sanitary condition in the area, adding that sanitation issues should be a collective effort and must not be left in the hands of the Assembly alone.


He also used the opportunity to appeal to residents to cultivate a new habit of keeping their environment clean and pointed out that his office will continue to initiate a number of sensitization activities in schools, churches and mosques, including regular clean-up exercises to create enough public awareness about the need to keep the environment clean at all times.
