ATEBUBU: Minister cuts sod for construction of Islamic Nursing Training College
Bono East Regional Minister, Kofi Amoakohene has cut the sod for work to begin on Islamic Nursing training college at New Konkrompe in Atebubu-Amantin constituency.

The project is expected to be completed in 2022 after which, admit over two thousand students who want to offer various nursing courses.

The Minister commended the philanthropists for his initiative and advised the youth in the community to support the project in other to help the contractor finish on time.

He also used the occasion to commission one thousand five hundred capacity mosque which was also built by Alhaji Dr. Zakaria Nuur at Konkrompe.

Speaking to the Muslims youth, the minister urged them to be ambassadors of peace in this year's election.

He admonished Muslims to be guided by the Bono East regional minister, Kofi Amoakohene as he cut the sod for work to begin on Islamic Nursing training college at New Konkrompe in Atebubu-Amantin constituency.

“Every Muslim should remain a crusader in his or her family and also a peace ambassador. If Ghanaians do not dedicate themselves and sacrifice their time, peace cannot be achieved”, he said.

He appealed to Muslim youth to uphold the values of Islam urging them to refuse to be used as instruments of violence to destabilize the prevailing peace in the country.

Hon Kofi Amoakohene said peace was a necessary condition for development and prosperity and urged the electorate to take a cue from neighbouring African countries to conduct a violent free and transparent election.

He said stakeholders must campaign against electoral violence, adding that ensuring a peaceful election in a country was a huge responsibility that could not be put on the doorsteps of a single institution.

He called on Muslims to see themselves as brothers and sisters, "avoid acts of violence."

He advised them not to avail themselves for politicians to use to foment trouble in society adding that Islam is a religion of peace.

The Chiefs and the people of Konkrompe also commended Alhaji Dr. Zakaria Nuur for his immense contribution towards development in the area.
