Wa East secures land for “One District One factory”
The Wa East District Assembly in the Upper west Region has secure a land for government’s “One District, One Factory” (1D1F) initiative, Mr. Jotie Moses, the District Chief Executive has said.

He said the availability of vast arable land in the District for the initiative has been secure a land and that a sod would be cut soon for the establishment of a Shear Butter, Groundnut Oil and Soya Oil factory under the initiative.

Speaking with Ghanadistricts.com, Mr. Jotie said the Wa East District Assembly had also made land available for the initiative and asked other districts to consider youth unemployment and support the initiative aimed at creating jobs and alleviating poverty.



According to Mr. Jotie Moses, the Assembly has set up an office to register growers who will be a start up to go into the shear butter, Groundnut Oil and Soya Oil business and therefore appealed to farmers, and youth to embrace the project to be rolled out to create employment in the area.

He also to appeal to investors to come and support the district roll-out its policies for mutual benefits, while also urging the youth to embrace the policies to reduce the unemployment in the area.
