Kpandai District gets cassava processing factory
The Rural Enterprise Program of the Ministry of Trade and Industry has handed over an ultra-modern cassava processing factory to the Kpandai District Assembly.

This forms part of the Government’s resolve to reduce poverty through the establishment of such innovative flagship programs to create jobs and provide sustainable means of livelihood for Ghanaians in all sectors and regions of the economy.

The consultants for the project who did the handing over explained the process by which the factory was expected to operate with emphasis on the benefits which will be accrued from the project through a very well planned and thought out value chain process.

He also added that following the handing over of the building is the installation of equipment and employment of staff for a kick start and operationalization of the Factory.

The District Chief Executive of the Kpandai District, Mr Emmanuel Atta Kofi Tatablatah in his remarks, expressed gratitude to the President of the Republic, His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo for remembering the people of Kpandai and for providing them with the factory.

He added that indeed, the District was most grateful because it was the first of its kind that any government had provided for the people.

The handing over ceremony was witnessed by the District Coordinating Director and officers of the assembly, the clergy, farmers, youth groups and other stakeholders.
