The District Chief Executive, Hon. Alexander Ofori who said this when addressing assembly members at a meeting disclosed that while authorities looked forward to other major interventions a number of boreholes have been awarded on contract for drilling in selected communities.

The DCE said 22 boreholes have so far been awarded for completion and would be fitted with hand pumps.

According to him, a lot of work has already been completed particularly the constructions of the concrete pads and this would immediately be continued with the fixing of the pumps for early completions.

Aside these 20 boreholes, Mr. Ofori also disclosed that the assembly is currently facilitating a government of Ghana-Chinese project which is expected to see the drilling of some 15 additional boreholes for selected communities.

He expressed hope that the completion of these projects will reduce water challenges in beneficiary places and urged the communities to exercise patience while efforts are finalized to complete the projects.
