Okere district confirms DCE nominee

The Assembly Members of Okere District in the Eastern Region have confirmed Mr. Daniel Kenneth Addo, the President’s nominee for the position of District Chief Executive.

All the 30 Assembly Members present and voting voted yes, representing 100% of the total vote cast.

Prior to his nomination and subsequent confirmation, Mr. Daniel Kenneth was the District Chief Executive for the same Assembly during the first administration of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The Election was conducted by the District Electoral Officer, Ms. Theresah Carrey, following which Mr. Daniel Kenneth was officially sworn into office by the Eastern Regional Minister, Hon Seth Kwame Acheampong.

Mr Daniel Kenneth thanked the President Nana Akufo-Addo for the trust reposed in him by nominating him to represent him for the second time.

He also thanked the Local Government, Rural Development and Decentralization Minister who is also the Member of Parliament for the area, Mr Dan Kwaku Botwe, Eastern Regional Minister Mr. Seth Kwame Acheampong, Traditional Authorities, Assembly Members, Staff and the general public for the love and support received in the past and expressed hope of an improved relationship between them in his second term.
