Amaadi Antwi reelected PM

Assembly Members of the Ayensuano District in the Eastern Region have renewed the mandate of Mr Amaadi Antwi, Assembly Members for Teacher Mante Electoral Area as their Presiding Member (PM), to help stir the affairs of the Assembly.

He received an overwhelming endorsement paving way for his second term into office as PM of the Assembly.

The race initially begun with three aspirants of which two later stepped down for him (Amaadi Antwi) to go unopposed.

Out of the forty (40) Assembly Members, thirty-six (36) voted YES whiles three (3) voted No with one spoiled ballot representing over 90 percent of votes needed to secure him the position.

Mr Antwi was later sworn in by Her Lordship Sophia Yeboah.

In his acceptance speech, Mr Antwi thanked the general assembly for the confidence repose in him and pledged to work hard to foster development in the area.

He asked members to shun any form of partisan politics during assembly deliberations but rather work together to achieve a common goal.
