Northern region to receive $10 billion of investments

The Northern Region of Ghana has caught the attention of Chinese investors after a spectacular presentation on the potentials and opportunities of the region at a recent visit to China led by the Northern Regional Minister, Salifu Saeed.

Accordingly, the Chinese business moguls in the Jiangxia Province have declared their intention to invest over $10 billion in the Northern Region.

Areas of Investments are; the expansion of the Tamale Airport, road network, high-rise buildings, and scholarships for needy but brilliant students, as well as establishing factories to enhance government's one-district, one- factory programme.

Speaking at the conference, Mr Salifu Saeed assured the Jianxia investors of an economically active labour force and a very stable and peaceful working environment for the investors.

The Chief Director of the Northern Regional Coordinating Council, Alhaji Alhassan Issahaku and the District Chief Executive for Bole-Bamboi, Alele Veronica Heming accompanied the Minister.
