The facility, which funded from the Assembly’s share of the District Assemblies Common fund (DACF), is expected to provide safe, quality and uninterrupted drinking water for residents living in and around the community.

Speaking at a mini durbar, Mr Wilkinson, reiterated the government and for that matter the assembly’s firm commitment to ensuring an even distribution and access to safe drinking water to every individual in the municipality.

He thus revealed that, the Assembly will soon commence work on similar water projects in other parts of the area.

He appealed to the community to adopt maintenance culture in order to prolong the life-span of the facility. He urged them to rally behind the NPP government since it was still bent on delivering on its numerous promises.

Nii Ayitey Okoaonsuro I, Opa Mantse, on his part expressed his appreciation to the MCE and the Assembly for coming to their aid. He noted that a committee will soon be setup to supervise over the project.

He recounted how children in the community used to travel long distances in search of water and thus described the development as great relief to the people.
