ASUOGYAMAN: Assembly yearns to improve health care
The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Asuogyaman in the Eastern Region, Mr Samuel Kwame Agyekum, has appealed to the government to assist the assembly in its quest to complete the new district hospital to help enhance access healthcare in the area.

He made the appeal when speaking at the Assembly’s first Ordinary Meeting at Atimpoku, the district capital.

The DCE, in his keynote address noted that the Assembly has already allocated funds from its share of the District Assemblies Common fund (DACF) to help continue work on the facility which was initiated by his predecessor.

He noted that the people were yearning for a modern health facility since “the district always has to fall on other neighboring districts for assistance in cases of any emergency”.

He stated that, the Assembly has set its sight on health delivery in efforts to create wealth in the district adding that “we need a healthy environment to be able to thrive”.

He urged Assembly members to rally behind the government even as it is working tirelessly to improve standard.
